 What is going on this Half Term?

 

Library: We are currently developing new library system where your child has the opportunity to select a book of their choice to take home and read. 

Topic Launch: An archaeological dig

Educational Visit/Visitors: The Hindu Temple

Aspire Afternoon: To make a Greek clay pot.

Topic Finale: Film afternoon and an Olympics party.

 

Things to Remember

Please send you child with the correct equipment on the following days:

Monday – Outdoor PE Kit

Tuesday – Indoor PE kit

Thursday – Homework and spellings to be returned

Friday – Homework and spellings to be given out.

Everyday – Reading Record

If you need any support or have any questions regarding how you can support your child’s learning at home or require further resources please speak to you child’s class teacher.

 

Parent Partnerships

We welcome any opportunities for parents to share their skills and knowledge.

Reading 
Please listen to your child read at home every day and record this in your child’s reading record. If your child would like their book changed, please ask them to place the finished book in the basket near the classroom door each morning.

Times tables 
In Year 4, your child will be assessed on their knowledge of times tables up to 12 x 12. Please support your child by encouraging them to go on Times Table Rock Stars for a minimum of 5 minutes each day to improve their fluency.
