Wednesday Afternoon: On a Wednesday afternoon, your child is given the opportunity to choose a book of their choice from our school library that they can borrow and take home to read.

Topic Launch: A day in the life of a Viking

Educational Visit/Visitors: Murton Park – Living History Museum 

Aspire Afternoon/Parent Partnerships: Making a Viking Longboat 

Topic Finale:  Film afternoon – How to Train Your Dragon 


Things to Remember

Please send you child with the correct equipment on the following days:

Wednesday – Swimming Kit

Thursday – Homework and Spellings to be handed in.

Friday – PE kit

Everyday Reading Record

If you need any support or have any questions regarding how you can support your child’s learning at home or require further resources please speak to you child’s class teacher.


Parent Partnerships

We welcome any opportunities for parents to share their skills and knowledge.

Please listen to your child read at home every day and record this in your child’s reading record. If your child would like their book changed, please place the finished book in the basket near the classroom door, each morning. Thank you for your support.

Milk is available to children at a cost of £1.00 per week. Families who are in receipt of low income benefits will qualify for free milk for their child. To register and pay for milk online, please click on the following link;
